ANKARA -- Turkey's industrial production index rose by 5.9 percent in May 2012 over the same month of last year. Turkish statistics authority, TurkStat, released industrial production index figures for May 2012.
Accordingly, in the sub sectors of industry; mining sector decreased 4.2 percent while manufacturing sector index increased 5.8 percent, electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply index increased 7.3 percent.
Calendar adjusted production index in May 2012 increased 5.9 percent compared to May 2011, and seasonal and calendar adjusted industrial production index rose 1.1 percent compared to the previous month.
